Introducing BaseJox. MTB | GRVL
We designed our chamois shorts right back from the drawing board, using as much naturally biodegradable, eco-friendly material as possible, and bamboo was always on the table.
Working with global textiles producers, and testing numerous materials and fabric compositions, we finally arrived at an environmentally progressive, technical blend that was perfect for the job, and we call it - evoSkinz.
83% naturally grown bamboo, with 17% elastane combining naturally anti-microbial, moisture-wicking and environmentally sustainable qualities with added durability, 4-way stretch and compression. Our shorts are the perfect thickness for supportive, comfortable, breathable undershorts, unrestrictive with superb freedom of movement, and a vital step forward in environmentally sustainable cycling gear.
Designed by experienced competitive riders
With decades of experience bringing performance cycling apparel to the market for some of the top brands in the world, our team have designed our shorts from the ground up. Minimizing the number of panels and flat-locking the seams, adding silicon grippers to the cuffs and the double laminated waistband, heat transferring the care info so there’s no scratchy label, and including a tech pocket to keep your gear safe.
For the best part of 2 years, working with experienced competitive riders, we tested, retested, redesigned and tested again. We tweaked and fine-tuned, added bits, removed bits, and tinkered until we had the perfect shorts.
We then took this design and integrated the best MTB & GRVL ultra-distance chamois pads on the planet from industry leaders Elastic Interface, with their own impressive environmental credentials, and BaseJox was born.
Going with two core unisex colours for our initial range, we aim to introduce others further down the line, offering even more variety to the BaseJox line-up.

This rapid expansion is attributed to its unique physiology; bamboo's rhizome network enables it to harness nutrients and water efficiently, promoting swift vertical growth.
As a grass species, bamboo can regenerate quickly after harvesting, making it one of the most sustainable resources available.
